This recipe was created as a topping for pumpkin waffles, but could be enjoyed on crepes, toast or with Quorn turk-y roast.
-1/2 medium size Spanish or red onion, minced.
-1 sweet Apple, I used honey crisp, peeled and diced.
– 2 Tablespoons Earth Balance soy free butter spread
-1/2 cup toffutti cream cheese
-4 tablespoons agave nectar
-1 cinnamon stick
-1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Combine all spices, butter and onions in a skillet on medium heat until the onions are golden, add the apples and agave nectar. Cover and simmer until the apple is soft. Add the cream cheese and thoroughly mix.
Serve in crepes, on waffles or on toast!
